no cutting of the fender really is involved....Its the inner part where your hinges are. Do a search on vertical doors. You will see what Iam talking about.
Be warned about 2 known issues.
1. All kits are not created equal. You seem to get what you pay for here. So if you find a kit for around 800-1000 your gonna get something fabricated from cheap steel and not be very good. The doors may or may not fit correctly, may actually even fall off! or end up slamming down misaligned and cause you to damage your baby.
2. Because the "good" kits are very pricey ($2,000 and up), it causes many to rethink this. I have researched these doors on the forum for some time now. What I have found is that you do have an option to get half or more of the door's price paid for you! Through sponsorship programs you can get the manufacturer to pay for most of the cost if not all of it if you goto enough car shows and have a bumper sticker or something of theirs on your cars where abouts. That means you don't have to put their signage on your car (nobody would really want to do that) but if you put it on something (like a plaque or display poster) and have that with you at the shows, you might qualify. Again each manufacturer is different for what they offer, but it is something to check into.
I purchased my lambo doors two years ago, they are still working as when I first got them. I paid $875 and I installed them myself. They are made of stainless steel with high shine almost as if they were chrome. I spraid them with black paint.
as for the mods, just cut the inner fender to clear the new lambo hinge
second the lip on front of the door needs to be trimmed since the door will open out and up. The kit comes with a single shock but very durable I have been using them for two years now on my daily driver.
I will post pictures later tonight

As I mentioned above, with this "cheaper" kit, it appears that trimming of the fender is needed in addition to only getting one shock. Again you get what you pay for. The better kits come with 2 shocks, use a thicker steel, and from what I have read, last and come with a lifetime warranty. Up to you which way you go.
this is why I said I will post picture later tonight because people asssuuummmeeee without looking at the facts, in this case looking at the lambo kit. This kit is thick and the reason why it comes with one shock is because it does not use the cheap thin shock you would normally find in a mini van or in the engine compartment of our vettes.
so I have to take pictures tonight to show that you don't have to pay 3 times more because we own corvettes.
Now if you like to pay more for the same that's your choice.
a good example is the exhaust system for corvettes I purchased a stainless steel system with x pipe and flowmaster mufflers, I did not pay 1500. I refuse to get ripped off.

well to each their own. but please don't go by saying I haven't looked at the "facts". I have researched this subject to the end as I too would like to pay cheaper also. Nobody likes corvette tax, but you also have to outweigh all the factors as well. By mentioning what the OP might be in for if he or she chooses to go "cheap", at least he will have all the facts. Please post the name of the brand that made your door hinges as this will help the OP out as well. He can then check into the background of the history of the company. If the kit is the one from vertical doors, it is top end high class.
A picture will help yes, but I have seen quite a few pictures of these. They can be very misleading. They look sturdy and strong as hell, but then you hear about the owner saying "never again" will I go the easy way out. My door just fell off my car! Please don't take my word for it, do a search. This is the last I will touch on the subject as the OP has plenty of info to go on and Iam sure he or she can make up their mind.
Thanks for you input and Iam glad your doors are holding up well, again post the name brand please.
ok, here we go... here are the picture I took two years ago as I was installing them. here is the website where you can purchase if you want to. http://www.jtautostyle.com/highly_evolved.php
As far as i'm concerned; if you're not driving a Lamborghini, you should not have Lamborghini doors. I'm more than sure that there are reasons for that.
No, you do not have to extend the wiring harness. Insde the car you have 3 inches of harness just pull it out.
Yes, the gallargo doesn't have vertical doors like the Murcielago, but the gallargo comes with a 10 cylinder motor and its less expensive in comparasion to the 12 cylinder Murcielago witch is a lot more $$$$.
