Yesterday after getting home from a ride with the a/c on, I noticed what sounded like water dripping onto a very hot surface. Is this the drip line from the evaporator? If so, is it supposed to drip on the exhaust or has the hose moved out of the proper position? Guess I need to get the car up on ramps and have a look but any help would be appreciated. Checked the "Leak" sticky and did a search but did not find this exact problem.
Check whatever it was that was dripping first...if it's clear with no odor/taste, chances are it's a/c condensation.
If it's got color/odor/taste, then you should check further.
Yea, it's probably your A/C condensate drain. It drips on or near the exhaust, and mine make the same noises when I park. As long as it's dripping you have nothing to worry about. When it stops dripping, that's when you need the leak sticky at the top.
I will take a look to see if I can shift the drain tube away from the exhaust. It's kinda of annoying as the sound of the water boiling on contact with the exhaust is really noticable. I'm sure I will be getting looks "Like what's wrong with your car dude?" from people who park next to me.

I'd be more worried when I can't hear the water draining over the hot exhaust..an indication of a possible plugged a/c drain line.
If you attempt to move the drain tube, you might end up soaking your computer or other sensitive part. The GM engineers probably had good reason to place the drain where it is.
I don't particularly care what someone in a parking lot thinks...but, it's your car to do with as you please.
