Coolant Air Bleed Tube........help
In the write up that im going off of, it says I must convert to the 2001+ style coolant air bleed tube (the small tubular piece that flows coolant from 1 head to the other) but it doesnt say what to do to the other 2 holes at the rear.
what does a 2001+ look like under the intake manifold?
on my 99, the coolant vent tube looks like a big letter "I" . connecting all 4 corners of the heads together, (all under the intake) then a small nipple for the coolant that goes through the throttle body.
I have already done the throttle body bypass mod.
my question is can I just go purchase the front 2001+ style tube, and leave it at that?
Do I cap off the back 2? or ? run another seperate tube?
What do the 2001+ vettes do at the back 2 ports?
Am I going to hurt anything by plugging the back ports??
are these the part numbers I need:
1) #12581213 (front tube)
2) #12562788 (blank cover)
2) #12551933 (seal, gasket, plate thing)
thanks!

A picture tells a thousand words. will do exactally that.
by the way, is that some sealant or caulking around the rubber seals of the knock sensors?
should I also do that?
thanks
and I always do this when ever the intake is off.

I did the same on mine when I had my intake off previously. I see you followed the TSB's advice to NOT make a full circle when applying the silicone and to leave a small opening facing the rear of the car.

The TSB is:
02-06-04-023
Subject: Audible Spark Knock (Detonation), MIL Illuminated, DTC P0332 Set (Re Rear Bank Knock Sensor and RTV Area Around Sensor)
Seems as though this TSB was primarily directed by GM to trucks with 5.3L or 6.0L Engines. Since the location and function of LS1 knock sensors is the same on the 5.7s, I think CAC included it in their available info. Seems as though washing the engine compartment on these GM trucks was felt to be the culprit.
My thought is: what the heck, can't hurt, so I did the rear sensor RTV thing as per this TSB.
