Default Racing Seat Install

Just a quick question for those that have gone through this ahead of me. When I remove the stock seats in my friend's 2002 A4 vert, the motorized steering column won't adjust per the memory settings. We think we need a jumper wire in the stock wire harness to indicate the seat belt is attached or something to enable the steering column motor to extend the steering wheel. Someone has already delt with this I'm sure, so post up please.
Thanks,
John

You need to pull the seat control module and wiring harness from the factory seat and plug it in and leave it under the seat.

What I did was figure out where I wanted the Race Seat and then plugged the driver seat back in (outside the car there is enough room to reach) until I got the steering wheel where I wanted. I figure the Race seat is never going to move so once I had the steering in the correct place it would never need to move either.

the problem is my friend autoX his car and has two drivers...on tall and one short, so we need a solution that allows the steering column to adjust. If I can engineer a simulator plug how many would want it? I'll get the shop manuals tomorrow and start checking it out. I'm surprised nobody has done this already.
Cheers

I just told you the answer above. You need to leave the seat control module and wiring harness from the old seat under your new seat.

That is the only solution.
