So I've been trying to run down a squeaking problem with my father-in-law's '02 Coupe for a few weeks now without any luck.
When he turns on the A/C, the car squeaks. If he turns it off, it immediately stops. We've WD-40'd everything, and it does nothing for the squeak. If it were one of the pulleys, I would expect it wouldnt go away when we turn off the A/C (as the pulleys all still seem to be still spinning away).
Could be the blower/motor if it's interior nose. If exterior, compressor bearing?
Could also be a worn stretched belt. The compressor puts quite a load on it and it could be slipping under that load. IIRC the AC belt only turns the AC, the other belt turns everything else.
Could be some rust on crank or ac pulley. Could be runout on the crank pulley itself. Try some silicone on the "sides" of the AC belt.
