Windshield post cover removal

I just finished installing a 3.5" VR3 VRBCS335WCA backup camera on my
2000 C5. I need to know how to remove the padded cover along the inside of the windshield on the pass. side. I would like to run the power wire from the monitor to the accessory power plug in the pass. foot well. Using the yellow lead will only make monitor hot when key is on.

Are you talking about the A-Pillar? It is held on my 3 spring clips. Just grab it at the top and pull towards you.

Thanks, I will run the wire behind this cover, under dash to power acc.

To ease the process, there is a small screw at the bottom of that trim that you can loosen.The hole in the A-pillar trim is slotted.

Thanks, I did not have to take the cover off. Placed wire along outside
edge and ran finger down the padded trim and wire just pushed into place behind cover. I then ran wire down behind cover on front post pass side to fuse area. Makes a clean installation. Camera works great.
