I would have to agree withthose saying that LEAVING the cats in is always the best option--At best removing them is only worth 3-5 HP so what is the point on a street car--A 100% racer is something different--Hi flowcats is an option but the ones that are 100% smog legal ( like for Calif, emmissions ) are horribly expensive--to me not worth the $$ or the trouble they can create to mess with--$$ is better off spentsomewhere's else--- Then there is the issue of moral responsibility--even though i am a retired racer and can appreciate extra HP and a crisper sound--We all breathe the same air and i feel somewhat guilty not at least trying to do my part--
What would be undesirable about a c5, that run's in the 10's, has a fully functioning emissions system, get's better gas mileage than an SUV, and is a driver? I remember a time when you had to strip a car down to get more horsepower and shave weight, why would you want to do it if it wasn't necessary for the same outcome?
Without cats I can run whatever gas I want and not destroy them. I never have clogged cats either since I have none. I also make more HP so it's win/win.
Who gives a crap about the emissions equipment. I pass every time thanks to OBDII. The emissions system is to much of a pain to work around so I threw it all in the trash.

Hmmm. I can't believe I read this twice. "I can run whatever gas I want"
