Rear tub creaking after accident - need some help guys!!
After my accident, the rear tub (trunk area) squeaks and creaks over bumps and uneven surfaces......theses noises are coming from the areas where the tub is attached to the the two frame rails (my ultra-stiff suspension does not seem to help either) - it seems that there is some kind of rubbing at those few points - anyone have any ideas for me?

The rear tub is bonded to the top of the frame rails and if hit in the rear,the bond could break loose...I have seen this a few times and causes the exact noise you are describing...An easy way to check is to remove the rear tailamps and view the frame area as someone lifts on the quarter panel :smash:

C-5 TECH - I am pretty sure this may be the problem - how would you go about fixing this???

The tub is bonded "in spots" at the factory. If even one of the bonds was broken by the collision, then flexing will cause noise.
Repair is straight forward but a pain. A GOOD body shop that works on C5s will know the procedure; and this repair should be covered as part of the original insurance claim. You'll need to contact that insurance agent again. :(
