And I thought I was the only one that craved the "Old School" T-handle shifter!
I was not able to find one that is made for the Corvette, so I bought one with a 7/16 hole, drilled and tapped for 9/16 -18 thread. It works great, especially with the Fastbird line lock, as I have the one with the switch on the end. It is no where near the correct geometry for the C-5 shifter, but I am happy with it.
Something to think about before jumping on this is that the steel shift lever gets pretty hot and will transfer that heat to the aluminum handle after a while. I never noticed this while using the Hurst plastic round shift ****.
All in all, I am very pleased with this unit. It's just my way of bringing back a little of the '60's!

As much as I love the "Old School" Hurst T-handle shifter you have to be careful with that much "leverage". I once broke a shifter rod in two while attempting to powershift second gear! :o
I have noticed that the handle (T) does warm up. But I plan on perforating it to reduce weight and to address heat dissipation. I will then have it power coated.
