I installed a line lock on my '99 FRC and power bled the brakes, also I replaced the right hand CV shaft because the outer boot was leaking. Then I took the car for a drive and everything was working fine, the line lock worked good the brake pedal wasn't spongy. Then I was at a stop light on a hill and used the line lock to keep from rolling back and when I took off I started getting service traction control, service ABS and service active handling messages. When I check the codes the only current code I get is C1247 and when I try to clear it it pops right back up. I have trouble code listings printed off the net but they skip over C1247. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. One other thing I should mention I have 18" tires all around and the rears are worn down a lot more than the fronts which from experience I know can confuse the active handling etc. but I can't even disengage the traction control with the warning messages lit up.
Code 1247 shows when the brake pressure differential switch is activated. Bleeding the brakes with the ignition switch on will cause it as well a a short in the wire. I believe it is one of the codes that require 50 ignition cycles to reset.

Here's an update; I bled the brakes again with the key off and the code was still there. the only way I can get it to go away is to unplug the center wire off the proportioning block. It didn't go away after 50 restarts but stayed as a current code. One thing is I've heard you have to hook up a tech. scanner to a C5 when bleeding the brakes can anyone verify this?
i've have this code intermittently. i also presently have the 'service active handling system' code set (1214, 1247, 1287). just cleaned the ground block but was a little low on brake fluid and it threw the 1247 code one ignition cycle after i took a hard corner and threw a 'low brake fluid' code. filled brake fluid (will flush this weekend), restarted the car, and it's gone. after reading this thread, i'll be sure to keep my keys off when i bleed my brakes. anyway, no solution, but fwiw, the code may not be reset, but it doesn't show up on the DIC's normal screen after one ignition cycle.
