The drivers side corner of my coupes rear hatch is raised slightly higher than the side fender and rear fascia. Only about 1/16 inch, but enough to notice it from the rear of the vehicle. The passenger side is dead on. I'm sure it's not the adjustable bump stop since there is downward play in the hatch when pressing on that side.
Before I tear the rear interior piece out that covers the down latch mechanism I was wondering if anyone knows if the latch mechanism that holds the hatches loop hook is adjustable.
Finally some time to pull the manuals out for the answer. Rear hatch is fixed.
The rear latch mechanisms are adjustable. Two bolts hold them to the mounting brackets. Simple fix for rear hatches that are slightly misaligned (height wise) from the rear fender/fascia panels.
