Guys, I don't usually bash someone on Forums but I got to tell this one.
I ordered a Specterwerks rear bumber for my Z in May. I ordered and paid for the part and shipping thru West Coast Muscle Cars as they are a dealer for their products. They said it normally takes 3-4 weeks for one to order but he had one coming in a week that he could let me have. When it didn't arrive he called and they said they couldn't ship it due to it was damaged. A new one would take 3-4 weeks. I waited and waited, finally July 17 after calling Specterwerks it arrives and it is Damaged but the shipping box is perfect. I called Jeff at Specterwerks and he said it didn't leave his place like that. I said the box is perfect so if it didn't leave that way then it was the shipping company that damaged the part and Specterwerks picked the shipping company and I had no part of it. But I have a damaged rear piece that I waited 5 weeks for. He basiclly told to me pound sand. I got Burkes Corvettes to fix it for $300.00 as he is the man putting my car back together. Tim Burke also told me the fit and finish was crap, that he had alot of time getting the rear piece to fit like he wanted to. West Coast Muscle Cars called Jeff at Specterwerks and never got a response so he offered to pay the $300.00, I told them it wasn't his fault, that he never touch it as it was dropped shipped. But he said he wanted to pay for it anyway. That is how I run my Business and I thank West Coast Muscle Cars for that. Think about this before you buy from Specterwerks.
Hi Tom,
Ok, this is where we stand. At this point Specterwerkes has proven to be irresponsible with their product-backing. Until this morning, they have avoided taking care of our issue. We have decided that we won't keep you hanging any longer. At the end of our work day today, if Jeff still hasn't returned our calls, West Coast Muscle Cars will refund you your $300. We will issue a refund on the account that you purchased with.
We are very sorry for the inconvenience.
Thank you very much for your patience.

Damn...that's all I need to see. I was on the fence on who to buy my L5 rear fenders from....not on the fence any longer. Great customer service!
Interesting info. Trying to help a friend with new c5(Z06 style) rear wheel mud guards. They are a modified version sold by a forum vendor. His c5 has a Specterwerks rear fascia. The mud guards were an inch off a the bottom, not even close to fitting, yet they fit perfectly on my stock C5. He was ready to call the vendor and say WTF, until he saw the fit on my car.

I don't have a SpectreWerkes rear bumper for my C-5, although I've lusted after one ever since they introduced them.
Having said that, there have been NUMEROUS complaints voiced right here, on the Corvette Forum, about how poor the quality of the bumper is, and how much work has been involved, in order to get it looking right. How they manage to stay in business is a wonder to me, as well as why people keep buying their C-5 rear bumpers.
Believe me, I LOVE the look of that rear bumper, but the stories that popped up 5-6 years ago, when they first introduced it, have kept me from even remotely thinking of buying one....
I think ACP is working on a bumper that is simular to Spectorworks. Hopefully they will make a better product; based on their other products I bet they will.
That's all we need is another manufacturer to step in, fabricate and back their product. Then Specterworks will be toast. That's the wonderful part of capitalism! BOOo Specterwerks!

I was planning to buy one of these rear fascias to go with my L-5 fenders as well. I will wait on the ACP one. I cant stand vendors that dont support their products.I have heard complaints on SW in the past as well. Way to go West coast muscle cars I bought my fenders from WKMC and had a good experience.
