The first thing you need to learn is where C5 General is located. This is C6 General.

The 2nd thing you need to learn is how to save some extra money to pay for repairs like this.

Maybe a kind moderator will move this thread to C5 where you can get a little more help than you'd probably get here.

You need to take your car to a mechanic that has the diagnostic tools to tell you what your problem is. Your problem could be a major issue or just some small item, only a diagnosis will tell you.

Where do you live? Someone may be able to recommend a good mechanic. I can't see how a traqnsmission flush could hurt. Good luck!!

Could be you have a shift solenoid that is stuck or quit working.
It may not be expensive to fix, but you at least have to pull the pan to replace it. A shop may be able to hook up to a diagnostic tool and tell what is not working without opening up the transmission.

The C5's had a terrible grounding system for the electronics. Sometimes a reboot would fix things short term.

trust me I know how you feel, I am 21 and am looking at buying my second c5 bought my first at 18. I am sure that there is someone out there who can help you out. Maybe someone will be upgrading to a build auto soon, and would be willing to sell you theirs for the 750 core charge. I know that is not cheap, but that is probly the best you can get.

You blew the Sun Reaction Shell. Have the transmission rebuilt with a better one, like "The Beast".

Did you even Check the fluid level???

Your in such a PANIC-it's just a transmission-not the end of life as we know it. Calm down and CHECK some stuff FIRST. Go to the tech tips section and see how to pull all the diagnostic codes.

If the car has you tapped out already, I think your in over your head. I'm assuming it has a "few" miles on it?

It sounds like you will need a new trans. I have had 3 cars (I am 21) and I have had transmissions in each one of them (you think I would learn not to abuse them). I am not a trans expert but I have had a similar situation before. What were you doing to the car before this happened?
