At worst, it's a minor annoyance to me, so I'm inclined to live with it. Unless it's indicative of a more pressing problem (like failure of the fuel pumps).
Any opinions? Is this issue worth addressing or is it a common C5 glitch that I can safely learn to live with?
Leaky injector(s). They should CLOSE on shutoff, get a fuel pressure gauge on it. If they leak, your flood the engine and your fuel rail will have to repressurize on a cold startup.

There are so many things it could be.. but always start "simple".
1. Clean the MAF
2. Check for leaks on the intake system.. specially AFTER the maf.
3. Plugs? wires? Air cleaner?
4. Cheap gas? did you try some techron?
5. poorly sealed gas cap?
6. try Idle relearn?
then go to the "medium ugly" stuff
1. bad o2 sensor?
2. faulty TPS
3. clogged fuel filter
etc.
