I asked about the simplest way to replace the Hazard switch because my hazard lights are not working, nor are my brake lights (3rd brake light is ok).
After reading many posts, I arrived at the conclusion that my hazard switch needed to be replaced. I was looking for the simplest way to do that.
It sounds like the simplest way to do that is, in fact, by removing the center console & radio (I've seen those excellent instructions). It also sounds like the flasher bypass will not solve my problem, correct?
Thanks for all the info.
If you haven't fixed this yet, try checking fuse 8 under the carpet passenger side. I used my hazard lights to thank a car for letting me over but the damn button won't come back out. I tried pulling the fuse (#8), the hazard lights went off but I lost my brake lights. Hopefully this helps ya if your hazards are still broke.

It's been 4 years. I hope he's got it fixed by now.
