Can anyone tell me whether or not there is, in fact, a "short-cut" method to replace the Hazard Switch without removing the center console, etc? Is there a way to do it through the center A/C vent? I've seen it mentioned but not described in any detail.
If you installed LED in your car you need to put in this bypass because the lower draw of power by LED will cause your lights to by blinking like one of the bulbs burned down.
I don’t know how but this harness will fix that issue.
This will tell you how to install it :
Tools needed: Small flat fad screwdriver
T-10X4 star screwdriver
1. Remove the Fog lamp/Trunk release switch plate by gently pulling away from the dashboard, then unplug the electrical connector. Once unplugged you will notice a screw behind it, remove this screw.
2. Remove the two screws securing the knee pad from under the dashboard.
3 Remove the IATS (interior air temperature sensor) cover plate then unplug the electrical connector. Once unplugged you will notice a screw behind it, remove this screw. (Skip this step if your vehicle is not equipped with the IATS)
4 Remove the dashboard knee pad from the steering column by gently pulling it away.
5. Locate and unplug the harness under the dash that is the original factory flasher harness, the harness should be directly below the Ignition key switch
6 Plug the Hyperflash bypass Harness inline/between the same harness connectors that you just unplugged in step 5 once plugged in. Once installed, test the operation of the new bypass flasher harness prior to reassembly!
That’s it your done

Yes REDBIRD, but if you follow Kamil D's advice is much easier to install the bypass PLUS it's there if you ever want to go to led tails etc......
Main point being it's easier even if you never do led's and its just plain a better product/fix than the original flasher switch. IMO
Yep, I ordered the flasher bypass harness from Richard at Corvette Enhancements last week in order to fix my intermittant turn signal problem. I don't have LED's but at least I'll have what I need if the time ever comes.

Does this bypass disable the hazard flasher. If it does, it is not that great a fix. There is a shortcut to replacing the switch itself and that is what I would do. Mac11 is "quite bright" in his post.

My research suggests that it does not "disable" the hazard switch. Your hazards will work normally.

So has it come in yet and, if so, did it fix your problem? I've got a front turn signal that acts just like its got a burnt blub however, hazards make it blink fine and I've checked out the socket and there isn't anything wrong with it (along with swappin out 3 different blubs tryin to get it to work)

No it should be here Wednesday or Thursday.
Plenty of people hav posted and said it worked. Try a search and see what pops up.

TRUE
If your 4 ways are working fine but signals are not the hyper flasher will solve the problem instead of replaceing the 4 way switch. But if the 4way does not work and you want it to work, you must change that switch for them to work.
I asked about the simplest way to replace the Hazard switch because my hazard lights are not working, nor are my brake lights (3rd brake light is ok).
After reading many posts, I arrived at the conclusion that my hazard switch needed to be replaced. I was looking for the simplest way to do that.
It sounds like the simplest way to do that is, in fact, by removing the center console & radio (I've seen those excellent instructions). It also sounds like the flasher bypass will not solve my problem, correct?
