I was thinking about where to put the purge valves. Do you think I could shoot one out of each side vent? If not, I am going to go by the hood. Can anyone show me how theirs is setup? Pics anyone?

Re: Where to purge? (intel55)
Jim, You say "you don't need to purge with a wet kit".....Well OK you don't need to even have a purge kit installed on any car, but wouldn't you agree that a purge is more helpfull on a wet kit? On a wet kit without the purge, you may get air passing out of the nitrous jet before the nitrous flows, and with the fuel flowing out of the fuel jets, you will stumble dog rich until the nitrous sprays. On a dry kit on the other hand, the air in the line is no big deal. there will be no power until the nitrous hits, but there will be no over rich stumble.
Just in my opinion, I do not think the purge is even necessary with a wet kit. Once you open the valve the nitrous flows down the line and right up next to the solenoid. Now if the lines are "dry" (no nitrous in them) you may have a little bit of air in them. So a purge would get that tiny amount of air out I guess. However, once you use the system once all that air is flushed. Now I have ataped a ton of nitrous runs and each time I use a bone dry line (well at least before I open the bottle :D ) and fire off a 100 shot, I only actually go a touch lean and then rich (as I want it right now). The runs after that are all fine, meaning that once the system hits I go .93-.95 on my o2's.
So now after the first run your nitrous should be purged and the nos will be pressed up against the noid ready to go. I have about 6-8 in of ss line between my nos noid and the jet. Once the noid opens the lil amount of air in that line (the purge never gets that line becuase it is only purged up to the nos noid itself) is pushed rapidly away when the nos hits at 1000 psi while the fuel is at 55 psi. So that nitrous is moving pretty fast to get out of that lil line. With a MAFT I can tune in a "leaner" mix and put my o2's @ .89-.90 instead of my .93-.95, but I do not get a stumble, so I have just kept it there for piece of mind. :D
There is nothing wrong with a purge kit. It does look cool shooting out and always makes a statement.

Re: Where to purge? (intel55)
intel55, Ok we agree the purge is not needed. If you do want the first run to be pure, you can always do a quick nitrous burnout (arm system, bottle on, hold the brakes, Comp mode or TC off, go WOT, exceed your window switch turn on RPM (if you have one)). This is really impressive at a traffic light.

Yeah, the county police around here seem to enjoy it, too! :D
Like Intel55 said, I have mine purging out the side vents :D I don't have any pics but I can try to get some. I had the nitrous installed kind of late in the season so I haven't had the time to really use it. I did purge once and saw the vapors shoot out next to my window :D I think that should scare some cars away :smash:
