Default Houston Engine shops needed for engine build. Please advise

Im interested in doing an engine build and am getting quotes from as many shops as possible before I make a decision on who to go with. Please chime in if you have a shop or know of a shop on the south side of Houston who is good. Im thinking of doing a 408 build with heads/cam, headers, clutch, etc. Please advise with any info.

Thanks

I would give Stephen and Jason a call at EnglandGreen. They're located near 45 and the Beltway on the south side.

Here's the number: 281-464-2800

Late Model Engines = LME http://www.latemodelengines.com/

N'uff said these guys are the nuts on best builders in town and build many engines for the LS1tech crowd.

The other choice is Eric Koenig of HKRacing Engines - http://www.hkracingengines.com/

also a very good rep on LS1tech but has been known to not be the fastest buider so if looking for something soon I would stick with LME.
