I have the T1 cam on MN6 coupe for almost 2 months. The car idles a little rough, but that's because I didn't have the PCM tuned. Let me know if you want to check it out.

If you have an A4 then you must go with B1 or smiliar cam from other vendors.
With a MN6, you can go either B1 or T1. I chose to go with the T1 because I like the lumpy idle (my girlfriend said it sounds like a boat :lol: ). But if you want the smoothest idle than go with B1. T1 has LSA of 112, comparing to 114 for B1.
rschiltz - All of the cams are "streetable", however each one was designed for a perticular reason. The B1 cam is meant to the A4's and the T1 is meant for MN6's. Both put out the same HP/TQ numbers......just that the T1's powerband is shifted downward slightly. The R1 is meant for stroker motors. The C1 cam is very similar to the T1 cam but is just a tad more agressive. And the A1 cam......well it's meant for someone who wants a little bit more power then stock with almost no noticable difference in idle.
Carovette - If you want a cam with the smoothest idle then the A1 is for you. :jester But if you want to get the most power out of your car while keeping a fairly decent idle then the B1 would be the one to get.
so I cant get the t1 with an a4. I like a lumpy idle but have a a4. Whats the lumpiest one can go with stock heads(97)
Abraham,
Do a search on my user name and look for my Cam posts. Bparker put some links of his B1 cam in his A4. It is plenty lumpy.
I just sent my computer back to MTI to have my idle changed.
They originally set it at 950 park and 900 drive so it will idle smooth and so that it won't die.
I am having them change it to 800 in park and 750 in drive.
It should be just about perfect if my calculations are right.
Bparker said he is currently at 800 in park and he felt it would be fine at 750. That's what I am thinking as well......
Lumpy..... oh, the B1 can definately be lumpy.....
T1 = "Tony 1"
B1 = "Brooke 1"
C1 = "Campbell 1"
A1 = nothing. It used to be called the "A4" cam back when MTI only sold two different grinds. They had one called the "M6" cam, which was basically a B1/T1 on a 116 LSA.
R1 = "Race 1" and is only for the BIG motors.
I now have the "T2" cam - 232/232 .574/.574 112 :D
And someone asked about the B1 and lopeyness, it lopes plenty! You cannot audibly tell the difference between the T1/B1/C1 cams, they all sound very good.
Ah-ha, that would exlpain the longer durations. But that lift.......WOW:eek:.....and here i was thinking that the lift on the C1 cam was pushing the limits.
