Memory Mirror loses stored setting?
My driver's side memory mirror sometimes loses its stored vertical position setting. I have no stored DIC codes and when the mirror screws up, the memory led on the door flashes about 40 times upon start up (usually the memory led stays lit upon start up). Also when the mirror screws up upon start up, the mirror moves to an extreme up or down position. The mirror works fine most of the time. Also I can manually readjust with the up down controls and restore the new memory resettings. Any thoughts?

Sounds like maybe the wiring to the mirror position sensors is faulty/intermittent. Might wanna check the four wires from the door controller to the mirror. If there's an intermittent, it's most likely at the controller, the 4-cavity in-line connector, or inside the mirror.
