C5 Intake Manifold Question

C5 Intake Manifold Question
On the back (facing the firewall) of a 1999 C5 intake there is a circular attachment with ports that vacuum lines attach to. How is that attached to the intake manifold, I want to remove it for cleaning.

I'd like to know as well. I tried to get it out with no luck. I know it'll turn and seems to be held in place with a cam lock or something...PITA!

I can't find any mention of the proceedure in my '99 service manuals...GM must feel that it is unecessary to do it. I wonder if this valve assy. even has it's own part number? I'd bet it doesn't and GM wants to sell a whole manifold if this piece somehow gets damaged. Hmmmm....

the piece you are referring to is not servicable and should not be removed
