Default Bilstein Sport Question

I hav the Z51 Package. I know if I lowered my car I would need to install the Bilsteins (at least that's what so man say) but what would the effects be if I just installed the Billstein Sports without lowering? Firmer ride? Would I see
a significant improvement in handling or Negligible?

The Bilstein sports have a lot more control and stability but will still have a decent ride. It will handle better than the stock shocks and still not be too firm of a ride. It's pretty hard to explain untill you actually feel the difference. :flag

I just today had my Blistein's installed, but haven't yet had the chance to test them. Does anyone have the G-Force inmprovment of a lowered C5 with blistein's compared to the stock z51 suspension?

E mail me in a week or so...I just got my Bilstein sports and also have the z51 pkg. However, I do not plan on lowering the car so I will let you know how the ride is, they should go on within a week, Dogdoc.

If you lower more than 1" the Bilstein Sports will help you recover lost shock travel since they have more travel and are a shorter shock.

There are some tricks you can do to Z51 shocks to increase travel. Minor mount changes & cutting the bump stops down a bit can recover 1" travel. I plan on 1.5" lower than stock with my Z51, mod'd to recover 1" of travel.
