I've heard that you don't need to adjust new rockers, just torque em to 22 ft-lbs, and go.
While other people tell me it can't be done without finding TDC, and adjusting to zero lash.
which is it?
google has provided mixed results as well.

The stock rockers are installed "net build", meaning no adjustment. They get torqued to the proper value. Most manuals will say rotate the engine so that the lifter of the rocker being installed is on the camshaft's base circle before tightening, but I have installed without doing that except I was careful to tighten each rocker bolt very very slowly to the proper torque. This gives any lifter that is not on the camshaft base circle enough time to bleed off a little while tightening. I have had good results with this.
2 different times I have just slaped the stockers on and put them to 22 ft lbs with no problems but when my YT RR's come in I will make sure to do it the proper way.
