Does anyone have a source to buy the titanium conduit piping in-order to do this mod?
I've got a new TI cat-back in my garage but I'm waiting to do the install until I can get this by-pass mod done. Nobody around here sells titanium, much less the diameter, gauge and length that I need.

Its available on eBay if you cant find it anywhere else.
I wonder if anyone has done this with a (non Ti) stock C5 exhaust?
I've done it on our coupe's stock exhaust. It has an nice deep sound cruising with no drone, and really sounds great when you get on it. Best low buck mod I've done!
dumb questions, but what does this really do? I would like a deeper sound and am considering this.
Thanks
All it does is allow some of the exhaust to "bypass" the muffler and go straight out the tailpipe, since the gas will take the path of least resistance. Because the bypass piping is only 1 1'4" diameter (or so) it will only allow some of the exhaust to pass the muffler hence it isn't nearly as loud as true straight pipes. Great mod!

Who did the welding, Mark? I've considered doing this on my car a few times.
BTW, what happened to the Gran Sport stripes?
Terry Underwood did the welding, but Opie at Top End can do it also.
The stripes were dark gray to match the OEM rims I'd painted, they didn't go with the black in the CCW's so I pulled them till I can get some more done in black later.

I hadn't even thought of Opie, but I wasn't sure if he could do titanium or not.
I think I'm too lazy to take mine off. I'm not into that part changing nonsense like you are!
