I notice that my clutch pedal kind of vibrates when I push it down quite a bit - especially when the motor is cold and when I'm not moving. If I'm rolling I don't notice it. Is this a sign of anything or just a result of the idle of my Z06 being a little rougher than most vehicles?
My experience with this symptom indicates it was a prelude to the complete failure of my hydraulic slave cylinder within several weeks. Drawing parallels to your problem may not unfortunately be entirely accurate. The slave unit does directly contact the throwout bearing and pressure plate so perhaps your vibration is caused by one of these components. Each of these components were OK upon inspection when I went in and replaced the entire assembly. Good luck...

Hmm. How expensive of a job is it to replace the slave cylinder? Is it inside the bellhousing? I don't have the facilities/tools/skills to do this myself.

More than likely its like the other poster said, your slave is about to go.
Cost depends on what replacement parts you put in. Cost range $1200to $2000.

Yes, it is inside the bell housing that connects to the torque tube. It requires the same amount of physical work to replace the slave cylinder thus I replaced the flywheel, clutch and master cylinder for obvious reasons. My problems surfaced after a moderate H/C/I/H modification and after eight plus years of use -- not bad all thing considered. Just my opinion...
