I have noticed recently that when I either let off of the gas or I put the pedal down, the top of my shifter ( MN6 ) moves from side to side almost 1/4 of an inch. I believe that this is due to the motor mounts. ( Can't really think of anything else it would be. ) When is it to much and I should change them out.
Also to those of you that have done this, is it a pain in the a## with headers on the car??
I would suggest getting the car in the air and taking a very close look at all of the torque tube attach points front and rear. You should not see any movement of the shifter like you described. Has there been any work done recently that would have involved the removal of any of the driveline?
