Just bought a 99 c5. LOVE IT!!!
Drove it about 200 miles after buying it, and instantly one morning, upon start up, both "service traction" and "service abs" came on before i even left the driveway.
Checked the codes and I have a c1255 and c2110, both current.
anyone want to help out a new c5 owner?? MUCH appreciated guys.

C2110 for the RR TPM, and C1255 is an internal EBTCM malfunction
i understand what the codes are, I just dont understand what they mean, and where a good place to start looking into correcting this problem may be before taking it in to a mechanics shop.
Any takers?? again, MUCH APPRECIATED!
battery always reads high, good charge, so I dont believe thats the issue, although it would have been nice
I have to get up under the car today and try jiggling some wires apparently.
Is it common for both the ABS AND traction to light up simultaneously? and before I even start driving? Im pretty sure they turned on AS I started up the car in the morning.
so apparently I have a front mounted EBTCM. Im on my way to go look for this bad boy, and when I come back hopeless, hopefully someone will have posted and will enlighten me!
thanks again guys.
ok. so found it, cleaned the female and male connectors on the ebtcm. still getting the service messages. Im going to try and reset the codes and we'll see.

According to what absfixer.com told me when I called them, the repair on them involves re-soldering bad/poor connection(s) at the circuit board level and is extremely difficult to do, much less guarantee, and they have chosen to not offer their service for these.
If theres ANYONE that has a defective 97,98,99 EBTCM that their willing to part with so I can EXPIEREMENT with it, I will pay shipping to CT. I would like to see if I can figure out why they fail and the best way to fix them.
