Im going to put a set of 1 7/8" arh headers this weekend any pointers to make the job go smooth also where is a good place to place the jack stands the car will be on them a week or so, im also installing aa pro charger Is there something better than jack stands I dont have room for a big lift..
Cool thanks
Eric
I am 95% sure that I will get one for my tiny garage... I am sick and tired of having no room to jack a car up and no room to move should the car decide to fall off the jacks. Others on this forum have had great success with this lift.
first off. get 1 3/4 headers. those are to big if you have a stock 346
2nd. they go in from top. remove the valve covers, oil filter and alternator. they will fall right it. put the O2's in once they are in, or they will never fit. i tired

Not to be a D_IC_k but if jackstands are your primary issue, F/I install and tune are way beyond......

Don't know about most, but I had to put the drivers side header in from the bottom. You can do it from the top, put you have to lift the motor an inch or two.
One tip is to make sure you get the car a good 3' off the groud if you decided to install from the bottom.

I installed ARH 1-3/4 and they both went in from the bottom. Didn't even need to remove starter. Gotta remove alternator only - no valve covers.
odd, i nev er removed the starter. and i think going from teh top on your feet is better than laying on your back working with no room. but thats just me. and it takes a total of 15 min to pull teh alternator and valve covers
They go in from the bottom.Real easy.Did mine a few months ago.Just remove your alternator and i removed my coil packs.Makes things alot easier.......No need to remove the starter.
passenger side I had to remove starter and lift the engine because of the pressurized a/c line no way from the bottom had to go down from the top cajun site was very helpful thank you all who replied I put 1 7/8 with a 3" cross pipe used the stock titainium exhaust. nice mello sound at idle and then comes to life. alright Ill bet the a&a procharger will be a much easier install than them headers were. I better get started. Later Eric
