Default HELP! air pump vacuum valve

Long time lurker, first post here. My wifes 04 turned on the check
engine light and threw a PO410HC code. I understand the code
and checked the check valves which were leaking slightly. The
REAL problem I've found is the vacuum valve next to the air pump.
It was not allowing any air past.Checked and had 17" vacuum to it
and when I disconnected it from the air pump and started the car
I had vacuum at the engine side air hose fitting. Pulled the valve
apart and find the diaphragm has a hole in it and signs of heat
damage(presumably from leaking check valve(s) on the exhaust).
My question is,what do you call this vacuum controlled valve?
Anybody got a part# or a place to look? I'm trying to get finished
so I can head for Ohio, its first cross-country run. Any help is
appreciated. Thanks,Jeff

Parts manual shows:
#12558524 Secondary AIR Injection Shutoff Valve.
List is $47.39, Gene Culley is cheaper at www.gmpartshouse.com
It mounts to the pump with a 1"-2" section of hose, and has a small vacuum control line on the left side.

Thanks! I'll see if I can get one local tomorrow. As a backup plan
I'm JB welding the hole shut on this one.
The air pump seemed to get pretty warm quick deadheading like
that.

Speaking from experience, be sure to check your battery for leakage.

My battery leaked acid onto my vacuum line, which then developed a hole and sucked the acid into the vacuum line causing the line to be eaten from the inside out.

You can find my posts by 'searching' for "0410".

Your car will not pass state inspection (should you have these) while this code is present. Good luck!

Thanks, yes I saw that, and more than once on the forums.First thing
I did after I determined no airflow to the check valves. Still using
using the original battery and not getting warm fuzzy feeling after
reading of leakage issues. Thankfully mine was dry as a bone, but still a
good time to do a little cleaning while I had it out.

Your '04 should have the updated top post battery which is NOT known to leak, unlike the '97-'03 side posters. My '04 also has the original top post, leak free.

That makes me feel much better about the battery. I JB welded the
hole in the shutoff valve and it works perfectly on the bench.Flushed
some throttle body cleaner through the check valves and will head out
tomorrow.I'm going to replace the shutoff valve but this will buy me some time. Thanks for all the help, this board ROCKS!
