Accelerating and whistling sound
Over the last few weeks I’ve noticed this slight whistling sound out my window when accelerating hard from 30-40 and then sometimes again pushing it hard from 50-60… It does not do it all the time and I also don't hear it when accelerating normally just when pushing it hard. It sounds like it's come from the engine or from the front of my car. I don't hear it at idle at all and I'm also not getting any codes.. I have that vortex ramair intake and headers.. I was wondering if the sound was either an air leak from my intake or maybe an exhaust leak?
Any ideas?

I'm guessing that it just depends on the air intake that you're running.. Now that's a different story if you have a supercharger 
I have the Vortex Ramair and I just changed out the stock bridge with a high flow power duct and smooth air coupler and I think that's what made it may sound a little louder now..

There was a technical service bulletin about certain versions of the ls6 intake manifold (I think the '01s) whistling.

I have the Vortex on my '01 and it whistles sometimes. I've noticed that the tiny filter they give you to put on the air pump intake also whistles. I'm to installing a Fast 90 intake and a Honker CAI soon, so hopefully that will fix it

I've noticed mine whistling also, it seems to do that at WOT, and talk about power.....

My 01 Z does whistle too, it did when it was all stock and now i have VararamLT headers and it still does, but i like it, and i checked checked....re-checked if i have any intake/vaccum leak but could not find anything wrong, car pulls hard, idles perfect..but i like that whistle sound, i would be sad if it gone.
