4th gear problem?

4th gear problem?
When I'm at wide open throttle and I shift quickly into forth I get a quick grind but it still goes into gear? I'm running Royal Purple tranny fluid and the car only has 19K miles. The problem is only in 4th gear. Does this sound like a bad slider or syncro? Do you guys think I just need to put in a better master cylinder to help transfer fluid faster?

I just had the same problem and it turned out to be a bad syncronizer. I did a search when I started to have the problem and apparently it is VERY common for the 3rd to 4th syncro to go. If this is not your daily driver and you are in no rush, do some research. I had mine repaired but if I had to do it over again, I would find a reputable shop and put an RPM trans in. Good luck.
