Harland Sharp does a rebuild on the stock rockers and they are pretty bullt-proof afterwards. The stock rockers have been known to have the c-clips on the trunions break and then spit the roller brearings into the engine. Harland Sharp installs much beefier clips and reconditions the whole rocker, then sends them back to you with hardened allen cap bolts. Very nice. It used to be ~$300 for the service. If you want to stay with the oem rockers this has been shown to be a good upgrade.

The next step up if you want true rollers would be the Yella Terra Ultra Lights. They are about $150 more but are a good rocker. Crane also makes a very good rocker with an accelerated rate. I don't have experience with them, but there are those on this board that do.

I am currently running Cranes and will be removing and installing Yella Terra's during my head installation next month. I think your biggest issue is 80K miles is a little long in the tooth for stock rockers to be running higher spring loads. As mentioned, you can either rebuild them or go with aftermarket.

Just to be on the safe side..... I got HS full rollers for free, and they seem fine. If I had to spend my own money, the Cranes would be my first choice, then the YT lites.

Depends on how hard you drive and how hard its been driven. At 80k if it were me I would at least throw in a new set of stock rockers. Currently I have Yella Terra Ultra Lights but my application and driving requirements dictates the need for them.
