Default Buzzing / Grinding / Vibration while engaging clutch

I had a Tex OZ700 Z-grip with new slave, master and pilot bearing installed approx 1000-2000 miles ago.

I now have a weird buzzing/grinding noise when I'm engaging the clutch. I can be taking off in first gear, up or down shifting and while i'm engaging the clutch (letting the pedal out) I'm getting this noise. It doesn't sound like harsh grinding, more of a loud buzz. I can also feel the vibrations from it through the shifter and the pedal. The noise is intermittent, and cannot be heard any other time other then when engaging the clutch.

I've been reading alot about torque tube bushings and pilot bearings, but it doesn't seem to be either one of those (from what I've been reading of what happens when either of those fail).

Any ideas??

Do you hear or feel this same thing when the car is in neutral?

Any vibrations due to car speed?

no...nothing while in neutral and it's not speed related or rpm related. It'll happen when engaging first gear from a stop, or downshifting into 3rd at 40 miles an hour....i really have not been able to isolate the noise yet. All i know is it's only when engaging the clutch, from about half pedal until all the way out...and it's very intermittent.

nope...clutch is performing flawlessly. I was playing with it a little last night, and it seems to be making the noise while engaging the clutch 'under load'....meaning, taking off from a dead stop (sometimes) and it makes the noise everytime I downshift into third while doing about 40-45mph.

the noise/vibration is only present during the clutch engagement 'cycle'...no other time. from about half pedal to all the way out.

From what you are telling me, I am going to say it is the throw-out bearing.

Is that something that should have been changed during the clutch install? Everyone always said to change the clutch, master, slave and pilot bearing...but never anything about the throwout bearing.

I'm assuming that to swap that out, it's the same labor as a clutch install?

Dubya did you get this fixed?

I have the ls7 clutch kit, and a new slave, and throwout.
