HELP!!!!.....ebcm/scl....HELP!!!!!
hey everyone,
I have a problem, for a wile now ive been getting the "service traction control, ABS, and active handling" warning on the DIC. I decided not to fix it right away because $1,000 is a bit much, but the car was still drivable! A few days ago i get into the car and it say "service steering column lock" now the car will start and i can turn the steering wheel fine but when i let out the clutch the fuel shuts off. My car did go in for the recall fix back in 04. I had the vett towed to the dealer and they tell me that the steering column lock (SCL) is broke because of the broke EBCM (Electronic Brake Control Module). So here is my Question: Is the SCL a part of the EBCM or are they just trying to get an extra $1,000 out of me to fix the ebcm even though its not related?
