Default C5R heat extracting hood

Can find a real C5R hood with the big opening at the radiator for heat extraction. Can anyone help?

Nice! Any pics of whole car with hood down? That one still doesnt have that big dip or opening in it like some C5R's.

A true C5R hood would be almost impossible to do on a normal street car. The radiator would have to be rotated the opposite direction, you would have to run the air intake system around both sides of the hood as the center portion has to be wide open to meet the radiator. Also the engine would have to be pushed back.



There are other louvered hood options however to remove underhood heat and increase cooling.

Yes, thank you. I was wondering those things since that opening was so big but I never saw a picture with this much detail before so I wasnt sure how deep that openeing went. That hood is nice, no wonder I never saw one for sale. I knew the intakes ran on the side but that would be a cool looking mod I wouldnt mind if it flowed better than my ported FAST but I'll pass on moving the motor back.

Anthony, what do you guys have for the C5? Any Pics? I don't see any products listed on your website. Do they reduce lift on the track at all?

Fitment is not perfect but neither was the factory hood. Quality is good and weight is substanitally less. Motor runs about six degrees cooler with hood alone. Rain is not a problem!
