Default Electric cut-out problem! Stuck in LOUD position !

Hi all,

Just got my car about a month ago, last night I opened up the exhaust for a little bit. Couple mins later I attempted to close up the cutout but noticed it was still very loud. Pulled over and took a peak underneth.

Well one of the two cutouts is working but the other one is STUCK in open position. My cutouts are just before the mufflers.

Now im stuck with lots of noise all the time! I like it from time to time but I like the idea of closing them up when needed. Also im thinking that its bad for the engine since one side is restricted and the other is running basically with no mufflers.

What are my options? Could that motor be busted? I tried moving it with pliers but its solid in place.

My Thoughts:

Get a muffler shop to close that side up permantenly. Basically only one pipe is adjustable.

See if they can fix it but if the motor is blown it might be very hard to get a replacement motor.

Bite the bullet and buy and used aftermarket axelback or catback system.

Or of course. Leave it alone

Thanks all!

Not that big of a deal. Unbolt the motor assembly, and bolt on block off plate with gasket(available at most speed shops) for manual dumps.

I they are QTECs, release the setscrew that ties the motor to the butterfly door, shut the door and retighten the setscrew. Then fix it when you have the time. Below is a shot of one of mine. The setscrews are on that small black coupler between the motor and cutout body.
