04- Fule pump removal

I'm trying to remove my left side fuel tank.I've got the exhaust and shields off. I need to know how to disconnect the crossover fuel pipe that goes to the other tank.It looks like it twists of somehow. HELP!!! Thanks....Crockettman.

He said 04...correct me if I am wrong but I thought that year it was actually in the tank.

That is correct.
The manual shows a positioning clamp, that must be released by pulling a tab and rotating the collar counterclockwise. Then the crossover tube should be pulled straight out of the tank.
