Creaking noise
Have a creaking noise coming from the rear of my car...I'm guessing this is shocks? Any other ideas, suggestions, common problems? Anyone have any recommendations for replacement, prices, where to buy?

C6 Z06 shocks are a no brainer from GMPartshouse.com.....but then again, you are "guessing". Troubleshoot the problem instead of throwing parts at it.

Creaking is usually from rubber (or poly) bushings.
Sway bar isolation bushings are prone to creaking - squeaking.
Apply a lube such as ”white lithium grease” to these areas.
Parts must be disassembled to lube properly – to insure that grease is applied deep within.
In my experience spraying “silicone lube” on bushings seems to make the creaking worse.

I agree with the bushings. I just usually replaced them when the creaking would start up as they are cheap. Once I tried the lubrication method and it sure did not work for me.. made it a lot worse, so they were probably badly worn out. I replaced them and no more problem.
