Has anyone driven their car while waiting for their EBCM to come back from ABS FIXER? How safe is it to drive without the module in place.?

You can drive the car, but it means you don't have ABS/TC. If you are going to drive it, make sure to cover the BPMV (sp??) to prevent water or anything else from getting in there.

It's no less safe to drive with it out than it was when your EBCM was malfunctioning in the first place. Just be sure if you do drive it that you keep the wire harness out of the way of the fans.

I just sent mine off today, its been out of the car since saturday. It seems safe to me! I plugged up my connectors with some electrical tape, and used a zip tie to keep them out of the way of the fan/drive belt. I left the 12 rods exposed as they're just electromagnetic electrode type thingies and they don't even have holes in them. That said, I'm not driving it for the rest of the week and i'll clean them off before reinstalling the repaired unit, but I'm sure I'll be ok. Its no big deal really.

And I like having the one "service vehicle soon" message rather than "service abs" "service trac." "service act. handling" less pressing of the reset button!

EDIT: Didn't think about water, you don't want those getting wet. So just figure some way to cover them up should it rain, or better still, do not drive it if it rains that day.
