Just bought a 04 vert it has a auto in it can anyone give me an idea about a shift kit to buy? this car is not going to the track I just would like it to shift hard under power but not yank your head off under normal driving! also I know all of you heard this alot of times but what spark plug should Iuse in this thing, I got MSD wires already.

Shift kit? Thats as old school as points and distributors.. All you need is a tune.. You can use a handheld ie.. Predator or Hypertech.. Get one used for $125...They are not worth $400 new. Takes 5 minutes,, or you can spend $400 on a complete dynotune which will ..do a lot more than a handheld programmer.. NGK TR-55 is the most popular plug on this forum.. Original Plugs are good for 100k miles.. I pulled my plugs at 55k miles on my 99 and they looked brand new.. Most folks change them out earlier as they are difficult to remove after lots of miles,, They kind of get welded in.. so to speak.. Remember to use anti sieze when replacing new plugs even after a check up of the originals

thanks guys you just saved me a bunch of$. I'm not sure about the newer cars & how things work. I'm 67 years old &thinking Turbo 350,
400s & power glides. I have a tunner close to me & i'll take your advice.
