Default Crank case pressure?

I am right at 520 rwhp and 480 rwtq with my Vortech A&A supercharger on my 01 Z. During the dyno I blew some oil out the dip stick and we temporarily zip tied it. I was recently doing some pulls with my cobra friend and i had taken the sip tie off and it happened again. Any suggestions? Catch can, breather? Not sure whats best for my car......

Thanks!

I'm hoping you still have the existing pcv valve? Have you changed the valve covers?

No, it's not necessary. Check the PCV valve. Clean it or replace it. Also check the breather line on the back of the valve covers. Make sure that line is not pinched.

Thanks man. You might be right about the line being pinched, I had to move it a little when I added headers. Any other suggestions? What about this? Does this help...

Contact Andy at A&A, they will likely have a correct answer for this.

Yep, she's gotta breathe. We have virtually the same setup, right down to the dyno numbers. Here's my setup.

Really? What pulley are you running and whats your torque? Honestly I was a little disappointed with my numbers....I heard of 550 rwhp easy with this same set-up but I am coming up short somewhere....

Yeah, something's not right with those numbers. You should be at least 50 RWHP than me. Get that pressure problem taken care of asap. Many guys are running the ECS oil cap breather with success.

Well southern Texas in known for bad dyno # results due to elevation, sea level and the friggin heat....my tuner stated that the numbers could be 20-30 off easily,.... it was 100 degrees plus humidity when we dynoed..... But im making 9.5 to 10 lbs of boost at like 3200 rpm... so it sounds like im making everything that I should it's just not resulting in the #'s that I want....

What is your max boost at WOT?

Oh yea, I guess I should clarify... My boost starts picking up at 3200 rpm but my max boost is right at 10 lbs. I had the 3.8 pulley on originally and I had problems building up boost. The 3.6 fixed that just fine.

Hey, I see that you have the line running from the top of your oil cap down to probably the intake to your supercharger right? It also looks like you have capped off the throttle body inlit that was breathing from the front of the engine case behind the throttle body? My question is are you still running a line from your valve cover to something?

Im trying to close any loop holes that might be causing me any compression issues.

Unless the A&A kit directions have changed, your throttle body should be capped as well. The fresh air intake from the right valve cover goes to the air filter. I have a 12AN line running from the oil cap to a 1 quart JAZ can with a breather element.

Where all do you have check valves at? I have the check valve that loops underneath the throttle body at the intake manifold and the engine case, and then I have the one that runs from the supercharger intake to the valve cover?

I don't have them installed. Since I have the crankcase vented through the oil cap, I don't have to worry about pressure buildup. I have had the intake off after numerous dyno pulls(change knock sensors) and no oil in the intake or pcv line whatsoever. I also checked again after my last visit to the drag strip, and it's dry. Also, since there is no pressure build up, I don't get anything in the catch can at all. The real test of my setup would by an auto-x event.
