just replaced battery...
what would cause the car to move forwards or backwards only 5 or 6 feet when i just replaced the battery and then die-out??? it will start and idle all-day long if i let it and will let me put it in gear(drive/reverse). thanx.

You have a bad connection. Check your battery cables, something is shorting out. This is not good for your car.

A friend of mine with a 2003 had the same problem but only just after having a dead battery and jumping the car off. When he released the clutch it would only get to about 5 MPH (and about 20 feet) and die. He let it idle for about 20 minutes to no avail then called a wrecker.
After getting the vette home he started to just push it in the garage and just for laughs started it anyway. The vette ran perfectly around his neighborhood!
He later replaced the battery and hasn't had a problem since.
