No Trans temp readout ?

Default No Trans temp readout ?
Not getting a readout for the trans temp when pushing gauge button.
I get all the other readings , oil temp , oil pressure , ect. ect. just not the trans temp.
Any idea's ?

It's not part of the DIC readouts. It only warns you of an abnormally high temperature situation.

Can you explain how it warns of an "abnormally high trans temp" condition?

I'm sorry TWOBELLS, just making a little funny. The reason you cannot read the trans temp, is because there is no trans temp sensor in an manual vette(unless it's an export/Z06). If you had an auto in your vette, you would be able to monitor the transmission temperature.

There is a temperature sensor in the trans. It just isn't an option on the DIC to display the temperature unless it is abnormally high.

What your saying is true for your car (Z06), but there is no temp sensor in a non export MN6. The auto trans has a temp warning, as well as a tranmission temperture reading in the DIC.
