Default How do you re-set after oil change?

I just changed my oil and my display says that I need to "change oil now" 0% life etc. How do I re-set this to indicate to the pcm that the oil has been changed? Thanks

Do you need an owners manual?

Turn the key to the "on" position w/o starting the car...pump the gas pedal three times fully and quickly. That will also clear the DIC oil life monitor.

Thanks, I have an owners manual and never even looked at it. Kinda like not reading directions for toy assembly when my kids were small. I'll give myself this for the question:

Oh well, I make no apologies. I understand that the forum contains members of various technical background and expertise. Some guys have the right manuals, but have a hard time understanding the content..and that's ok, because there are plenty of guys on here to help out and explain. But when someone is just too lazy to open up their owners manual and freely admits it......give me a freakin break...

You need to light'n up a bit.....like some people want to be a tough guy hiding behind a keyboard.

Daniel Boone in his later years was asked if he was ever lost during his vast exploring of the American wilderness.

He responded: I can’t say I was ever lost, but I was bewildered for three days once.

Whatever. I could care less if you like what I said or not. If you want to spoon feed someone who is too lazy to read their owners manual....then go right ahead. It's got absolutely nothing to do with trying to be a tough by "hiding behind a keyboard"....like I made a threat or something......

And as if it really matters.....but I don't need to hide behind anything....
