Default Brake Pad Question??????

When replacing the front pads, where does the "wear indicator" go?? on the outboard pad position, or the inboard?? They seem to fit in either spot... Thanks Guys

Its usually the inboard, because the inboard usually has the piston on that side. Therefore the brake pads on the side with the piston usually wear out a little sooner than the other side, so you want the wear indicator on the piston side.

Also, the wear indicator clip usually needs to be towards the rear of the car.
The indicator clip when contacting the rotor in one direction will push on the pad, holding it there to make noise.
If you put in on the other side, it will hit the rotor and get bent away and not make any more noise till the pad is gone and grinding metal to metal.

According to the factory service manual, the wear sensors should be inboard and in the trailing position as the car moves forward.
