Default Replaced the battery, but now....

I replaced my 6 year old OEM battery on my 2003 Z. All's well except when I have the vents set to bring in outside air it's very warm air and not the cool air that's outside. Any suggestions?

There's a lot of info on this very issue--warm air after a new battery install. I think it has to do with resetting something, but you can search the forums and go through the posts. I remember vaguely reading something about this. Search for warm air from A/C etc... and you'll find it...

Default Battery OK, now vent problem

Hi, what hvac system do you have, auto or 3 dial manual? If it's the auto system do the fuse #27 recalibration.
1, ig off
2, pull fuse # 27 from the ip fuse block.
3, Wait at least 60 seconds, (very important to wait at least the full 60 seconds or more).
4, Replace fuse and you should hear the actuators moving their full range of motion and recalibrating.
5, Test the system.
If the manual system you should check the vacuum lines for a break, or leak.
Also on the auto system set the drivers side to 60, and the pass side straight up and see if that doesn't allow the cool air in the vents. And unless the outside air is quite cool the un refrigerated air coming in will always be warmer than the outside because the plenum chamber is where the heater core is and throws quite a bit of heat, and the close proximity to the engine and exhaust also throws heat.
Good Luck

every time I have the battery unhooked mine does the same thing. I found that going in and clearing the codes fixes mine every time. It seems to throw codes for the HVAC when messing with the cables. Don't know why but it works for me when I clear them..

My AC actuators love to have all the codes cleared. It only takes a few seconds to do..the fuse did nothing for me.

Thanks for the replies! I'll try the easy one first (reset codes) and then the fuse process if that doesn't work!
