Dreaded 1214 Code fixed ! - Thanks Forum and ABSFixer !!
Two weeks ago the DIC popped up with the dreaded 1214 ABS trouble code. The local stealership quoted me $1-3000 to fix the problem depending on if the ABS valve module needed to be replaced or not. I posted on this forum and received great advice form several folks. I removed the ABS control module - a 30 minute job and sent it off to the ABS Fixer. They turned it around and I received it back in less than a week. Re installed the module and cleared the codes. It works great - even used the ABS several times in the rain today to make sure. NO CODES !! Total cost $163.39 and an hour of my own time. Take that Stealership - Ain't this forum great !!!
