Rear Mounted Transmission Cooler
Has anyone installed and run a trans fluid cooler mounted in the back of the car, like behind the rear facia? I know I'd need a fan, but do you guys forsee any other problems?
I tried that location without a fan and the temps went up not down so it was relocated in front of the car where the air is cool. The cooler is in series after the radiator cooler and the temps are low now, usually 170- 200 degrees F.

Thanks Fellas - Anyone have pictures of rear setups and/or cooler recommendations?
I'm not up for installing Z06 ducts but I can see it being effective.
I installed mine in the rear bumper area with a fan wired to pull air all of time and also cut vents in the rear black paneling and it still got too hot. I would not run it in the bumper. My cooler was too big to fit in the fender well so I have no experience with that. Just put it up front below the headlight and fab a few brackets. It works twice as well up there and I haven't seen temps go over 160 yet with normal driving.
