I posted a while back about how my low beam was out and how it wasn't an OEM spec bulb. No 90 degree elbow. It just stabs straight in. Anyways it doesn't turn and to make a long story short while I was trying to "hulk" it out the plastic neck broke. I need to get access to it with a tool of some kind now. What is the minimum I need to remove to get at that bulb?
There are 4 Torx screws visible from the top, and two Phillips head screws towards the inside. Where do I start?
1/4" drive ratchet, extension, universal joint, 10mm socket, and 10mm box end wrench, and patenience, will have the housing out and in your hands in a few minutes.
So that would be none of the easily accesible scews on top
How many bolts am I looking for? I see possibly the two 1/4" nuts on top towards the back with Torx bolts(headlight swivel?) and inside and to the back are two 10mm nuts on bolt shafts facing forward. Also another 10mm bolt at the back of the assembly which enters from the engine compartment out towards the fender, and the nut which iswithin the assembly, at 90 degrees to the other 10mm nuts I described. Are these the ones?
Three bolts with 10mm heads screwed into the back of lamp assy, holding it to the metal bracket. Two on the extreme outer edge, and one on the inner edge (engine side). Not hard to see, but it does take a little patience to get them out. If that's a problem, call me at 252-559-9787 anytime, ok?
