To get this bootleg copy of the GM service manual to work, you simply download this program (Virtual PC), then install Windows XP service pack 2, then remove all java references and it should work? Good heavens, man! Installing XP is a project in itself.
Having the manual on a PC is compelling, especially for searching error codes and such. But spending an hour or two configuring a computer to do the install, even for a technical guy, is unreasonable.

I have one of the DVDs. Provides service manual for every GM car/truck from 1997 thru 2005. It works fine for me, and is invaluable! I would be willing to share....dont wanna sell for fear of copywrite laws. PM me if you are interested.
PS. If you are having problems with it working, you have to follow the installation instructions to the absolute letter. Even then it took me 2 attempts to install the database, but it works now...no problems...installed on 3 computers.

By the way, on the computer i installed the DVD i run Win Xp Pro with service pack 3, IE 7, Norton 2005.
